Welcome to the Section for Bioinformatics

The research activities at the Section for Bioinformatics, Biocenter, Innsbruck Medical University are directed towards two major thrusts:

the development of bioinformatics methods and software tools for large-scale biomolecular data. Using state-of-the-art computer science methods and software engineering, bioinformatics services for genomic, transcriptomics, and proteomic data are developed, deployed, and maintained.

data integration and modeling biomolecular networks. Specifically, the research includes the development of methods for the integrative analyses of heterogenous datasets, and modeling biomolecular networks in cell differentiation and cancer.
